30cm 5050 LED strip, just above the footwell on the lowest edge of the dash.
I found the adhesive would often let go, and come off, but, I put sellotape over and, around the rear lip and that keeps it in place long term. You can even wire into the interior light system, just be aware of the current consumption, you want any load above 1A, realistically for the length you’ll be well below that. You can use an ignition switched supply elsewhere of course if you wanted to. On mine I can have OFF/ ON Interior inc dimming / Permanent ON. That mirrors the interior light, the dimming can be a bit more steep of a cut off due to lower current but still works perfectly. If you have a rear interior light, you have another upto 1A supply there too. 1A is a lot for LED’s. There is RGB types with a controller but these will pull more power, I used a single colour strip. I seem to remember each 30cm strip would be about 180mA in current each, approx. ____\We|Will|Win/___ ____/🇬🇧🇺🇸\____ _//*⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰*\\_ |
