My factory 3.5 v8 110 CSW shows as non compliant on the ULEZ checker.
I think that any factory V8 that had the emissions section properly filled in on the V5 isn't going to be compliant - I don't think they came with cats from the factory as standard (unless it's one of the special editions that has EFI).. |

Many thanks for the feedback… out of interest what year is yours? And how do you find the V8 in terms of reliability?

It's a J reg - so 1992ish.
It's been very reliable - I've owned it close to 10 years and I don't think it's ever let me down. If the v8s are looked after they can be pretty reliable - in factory form they are fairly simple and there's not a lot to go wrong! That said - the 3.5 is pretty underpowered, especially in a 110. Quite a lot of them have been converted to EFI (megasquirt etc) which frees up some power, but we dropped a 4.6 into mine which transformed it... It will actually be up for sale soon, there will be an ad on here at some point soon when I get round to cleaning it and taking some pictures! |

If the car is over 40 years old it becomes ULEZ Exempt regardless of emissions
https://www.shropshirestar.com/news/motors...-v8-model/ Taking advantage of the rule that classic cars over 40 years old are exempt from the daily charge – the ULEZ Reborn series can be specified with either a 4.0- or 4.6-litre V8 engine linked with a modern ZF automatic gearbox.
