Brake Servo Oddball
My 2011 Puma doesn’t appear to be giving me any brake servo assistance. Doing the usual servo test of pump and hold brake pedal then starting it makes no difference to the pedal.

If I remove the servo vacuum pipe I have a good vacuum suck at the servo pump and removing it from the servo also a good release of vacuumed air. I was expecting one or the other to show a fault.

Anyone experienced this or offer any other rational?

Thanks

Thank you, if ABS isn’t standard on the 2011 Puma HT then my model doesn’t have it which means it won’t have TCS either. Ride like you stole it!!

Check for fatigue cracks around where the master cyl fits onto the servo particularly around the engine side. These can close up when the pedal isnt depressed allowing vacumn build up but then open up when the pedal is pressed allowing air into the servo housing. Also check the o ring seal on the end of the master cylinder to servo joint.
