Interior light
Before I start checking wiring etc, in a Puma 110 is the interior light meant to come on when the rear door is opened or just when one of the passenger doors is open?

Currently interior light is triggered by any of the four passenger doors, but not the rear (boot…what the hell do you call it??).

Cheers Tom

Yes,
should be all doors and that includes the rear. Check the switch and or replace it.
They are quite common to play up, you may find removing it and replacing it may do the trick without getting a new one.

They can often get stuck. Diesel$ Live$ Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️ RED, WHITE & BOOST! 🇬🇧

Yeah, it’s a very common thing.

It is ground switched, for those who don’t know. I find sometimes merely pushing in the switch and releasing it quickly a few times will even do the trick. You can try it with the interior lights on.

The rear one tends to be support more than any I find. Diesel$ Live$ Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️ RED, WHITE & BOOST! 🇬🇧

Presume it’s gone at the switch end as opposed to some other random location?

Cheers

Yes. The wire snaps at the connector that attaches to switch. In my experience

Andddddd fixed.

Turns out that the auto electrician / moron who fitted the LED work light tapped into the OE wiring and pulled all the wires in silly directions meaning the pin switch could not fully extend. Clearly they were not a fan of soldering either………..

Some new wiring and bingo……………one working pin switch.
