[Wanted] Dixon bate slider base
Hello

Need a Dixon bate "backing plate" / tow bar

something ideally that needs powder coating as my plan is to cut it up - I just re powder coated the one I took off before fitting a NAS so don't fancy chopping it up.

Only this piece, no braces / slider / pins etc.

Does it need to be that exact type? I have a spare one but it’s got the larger bolt holes in a continuous plate at the bottom rather than the two separate tabs like that one (which is upside down!).

Yes, this type (same as what I've just had coated)

im guessing the pic I posted is a earlier type, im only really interested in the area where the 4 main bolt holes are, I will be cutting the rest away just to leave a mounting plate on my NAS step for my bike rack..

Where abouts up north are you and what do you want for it?

Shorter racks that fit the DIN 4-bolt hitch mounting (i.e., the four holes on an NAS step) are available and often turn up on ebay. I have bought several over the years to use on 2" receiver fittings. This sort of thing...

yeah, thats ideally what I need, but can easily cut down something thats seen better days also..

Did I overlook the fact what I / anaconda have posted won't match up to the 4 bolts on the NAS I have or will this be fine?

they are all m16 with 90mm x 45mm spacing?

The standard (BS Au 114a) two-bolt coupling dimensions are two holes 16.5mm diameter (or 5/8") at 90mm centres.

The standard (BS Au24) four-bolt coupling dimensions are four holes 13.5mm diameter (or 33/64") at 85.75mm x 44.45mm (or if you prefer 3.3/8" x 1.3/4") centres.

I've never owned an NAS rear step so I don't know for sure what they take, but I would expect that it would be the latter.

DB sliders are usually drilled with four 16mm holes at 90mm x 44.45mm centres, since this allows either coupling type to be bolted to them.
