Uprated front springs - reccomendations?
I want to uprate the front springs slightly on the 110 to cope with the additional weight of the winch and bumper and also to bring the nose up a touch as it is currently quite low.

I don't want or need a full 2" lift kit and ideally I will need around 1" of lift only but most spring mfrs seem to only do standard or +2".

So I'm considering the Terrafirma +2" ones but opting for 'light load' which I reckon might do the trick as the load will be a bit heavy for them so might not actually give the 2" lift. Either that or the 'medium load' vesrsion but don't want the front sitting higher than the rear for obvious reasons.

Any thoughts?? Andy

Landrover HD springs lifted my front by about 3/4-1".

If you want to just swap the fronts JSG has the perfect answer.

If you have a little cash to splash and want a full set of springs OME do a 1" lift. Also remember that some Pumas don't like lifting more than 1" without problems and others are fine (a bit hit or miss)

On further investigation it appears that standard 90 rear springs also serve as HD 110 fronts, seems bizarre but hey, a cheap solution! Andy

Andy

I have just fitted a TF003AC winch bumper plus winch, 58kgs extra weight on the nose, and considered doing this myself.

After being advised by my dealer that they did not think I would need hd springs on the front I did the following.

With my First Four tubular bumper on I measured the distance from the centre of the front wheel to the bottom of the arch, took the bumper off and did the same, then fitted the new bumper, measured and finally the winch and measured.

The TF bumper is considerably heavier than the FF one and the overall result is that my vehicle is sitting about 8mm lower at the front than it was with just the FF bumper on.

I will probably stick with the standard springs for now.

Thanks Bob, I know the TF bumper + TDS winch will be heavier than the factory bumper and A-Bar so it's a bit of a given for me that I need to do something.

Looks like HD front (aka 90 rear) springs will be the best option I reckon Thumbs Up Andy

If I change mine that is exactly what I am going to do. Britcar do them for a reasonable price.

You can also save some cash and fit either the RBC100111 rubberized shock tower ring or the ANR2938 spring isolator, both giving 10-12 mm of lift. Thumbs Up Puma 110" SW
