Britpart one price halfshafts
https://www.lrdirect.com/LR072977-supplied...TPART.html

Fitted a set of these to my 90 today as the flanges were f***ed!

They appear to be really well made and other than a couple of stubborn bolts, were easy to fit.

I refitted with a set of the proper bolts that have the locktite stuff preinstalled - which apparently was a mistake (hopefully I never have to change them again!).

This was the first job that has ever gone smoothly working on the truck, so really chuffed!! 2011 CSW XS 90

The first job I did on my 110 when I got it a couple of years back was to fit a pair of these.

I was pleasantly surprised how quick & easy it was - I was expecting things to go wrong.

So far no issues with these. (Plenty of other issues in other areas of course! Smile )

They used 2 piece shafts, ie, drive flanges. Another point to wear and become noisy.

The genuine LR one-piece halfshafts are terrifyingly expensive, something like £600. The Britpart ones cost a fraction of that, and, unusually for Britpart parts, forum feedback seems generally ok.

The only obvious difference I noticed (other than being one piece!) was that the Britpart ones were slightly heavier and the shaft had a consistent diameter (the genuine two piece set I remove appear to have a taper between where the bearing sit and where it engages with the diff. 2011 CSW XS 90

Another vote for the Britpart shafts, not had any issues.

Same for shocks, springs etc. I've used over the years. Just don't trust their filters personally but then I had two bearmach filters fail on me and one faulty from manufacture so it's not just Britpart that have the odd dodgy part. Now: 2010 2.4 TDCi 110 Utility Wagon

Fitted these a few weeks back and all good. One minor complaint is that they seem to rust very quickly so will need removing and the flanges painting properly, mine have gone orange in a matter of weeks. 2005 Td5 110 Hardtop

Mine weren't painted, so I had to do mine before fitting, no great hardship in that though.

When switching out to the one piece shafts, are there any other parts required during the procedure? (seals, new bolts, gaskets, etc.?)

This is already on my to-do list and I want to make sure I have all the necessary items before I attempt the work. Won't do to have it all apart only to find out that there are missing parts.
