![]() Click image to enlarge Just been out for a drive and again no warnings on start of ignition but I drove over the same patch of pot holed road that brought up the warning ⚠️ sign last time and the same warning came up literally seconds after. I then drove home and inspected the vehicle that’s when I noticed something is leaking (see red circle in photo above, blue arrow is front of vehicle) under the car possibly from the the new clutch transfer case that acts like a differential for the new torque on demand AWD system that replaced the central differential on the MY20 vehicles (see below). ![]() Click image to enlarge Im no mechanic so I haven’t got a clue if this is something major or not but the vehicle as it stands does not work in 4WD or AWD because as soon as the car hits a slightly rough terrain it is triggering the warning sensor to cut power to the front wheels. |

Appalled once again. The world would be up in arms if a Toyota LC or Merc G wagon did this.

They all go wrong, the new G Class has been recalled for various things - diff issues, brakes, wiring etc.

Recalls are never a bad thing ~ if only JLR would embrace them. Instead, they fight them, pretend the issues don't exist and if absolutely necessary issue, quite literally at times, sticking plasters ~ double sided tape, felt pads and tie wraps... |

Can you examine that and see if it's water, coolant, oil. What colour is it? Blot it onto some white kitchen towel. There's been a recent TSB for Velars only with AWD: SITUATION: A transmission fluid leak may be seen coming from below the vehicle. There may also be a lack of acceleration and/or a 'juddering' from the vehicle while driving. A transmission warning message may also be displayed on the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC). Upon further diagnosis, the fluid may be found leaking from the transmission fluid cooler pipes. CAUSE: Excessive vibration transmitted through the transmission fluid cooler pipes while the engine is running, causing the weld joints to fracture. ACTION: Follow the instructions below. |
