The Robins have fledged now so back on with the Mog.
Currently replacing the rear load bed with 18mm buffalo board.

@ camelman

What engine is used in that mog? OM366A ? Reason why im asking is, im looking to buy old bus for conversion (RV) and i came accross old mercedes bus, in very good condition and its rigged with OM366A turbo diesel, im told by seller that mog's use. So im curious, if that is the case, how hard is to get parts for it? One i discovered in bus is made in Brasil, which is a bit confusion for me as specs seems to be different than OM366A made in germany (this is according to few forums i went). Here is picture of engine top, so if you dont mind, can you confirm is this same engine used in mog?

The 366a is a 5.9L diesel also used in the bigger square cab mogs from the 80s onwards
Parts are easily available but its a bit of a monster in terms of torque (and weight).

It replaced the om352 motor which is still good for parts and might be more of them around. My u1200 had that motor with a turbo and uprated fuel pump.

My mog is still running its original M180 6 cyl petrol engine. Only 82 hp but gets the job done 😀

So, a neighbour got stuck today in his pickup with a double decker trailer full of sheep. As I was passing in the 130 I offered to help. I almost got stuck myself and was no way I was shifting him in a hurry.

Went home and fired up all 82bhp of my 60 year old mog.
Breezed in and pulled truck and trailer out without barely going over tickover Whistle

I presume the Mog is relatively light so that's very impressive. All down to tyres and gearing, I guess. Darren

The diff locks are great as long as you don't want to steer, especially with 42 inch tyres and no power steering Laughing
