the 404s are alright for laning as they are about the same width as a defender. Just got to watch the height with overhanging trees.

With 42 inch tyres, portal axles, 18 inches ground clearance, long travel coils and diff locks front and rear, most lanes don't cause a problem...
Mine only weighs 2.5t

The newer mogs are a bit more of a handful on tight lanes as they are much wider, heavier and taller.

So after 61 years, one of the wiper motors gave up the ghost.
Ordered online, arrived next day and fitted. Now whirring away like a sewing machine Smile
