Puma 90 rear seat removal and a platform to replace it.....
Afternoon all

I have taken the rear seats out of the Puma for now as I need more space with the dog and luggage, does anyone know of a platform kit that will make one large platform the height of the wheel arches, or an inset platform for the lower part of the arches? I want to be able to put stuff on the sides without it falling over.

I couldn't resist so had to have a go, sheet of 18mm ply arrived this afternoon.......45 degree angle on the sides and a doubling of the ply above the wheel arches so it sits on them, I added an extra section of ply across the centre and have supported it with 3 sections of 2x4 for extra support......3 hours work, quite pleased, will sand and clean up tomorrow.

I have similar but found no support was needed in the middle. I suggest you bolt it down using the holes left from the seat. You wouldn't want it hitting you on the head!

the shelf makes the rear step too tall for our older dog in particular so we have kept the std rear floor

I know this was in jest, but in all seriousness, do bolt it down. In an accident you don't want 10kg of ply whipping round the interior. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS
