France 2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 DCPU Corris Grey
Side Step refurb.
Morning all,

I’m about to undertake a full side-step refurb. I’ve got some metal/paint specific paint stripper gel which I’ll coat the steps in and leave for 24hrs, before wiping down. But what should I use to remove the more stubborn bits and buff down? Got the usual cordless tools (drill, angle grinder etc) to attach bits and bobs to. Monsieur Le Grenadier

I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list.....

Like Darren I would go for flap discs. I've recently refurbished a tractor axle and used flap discs. Make sure you don't have any underseal or other soft material on the steps as this will quickly clog up the flap disc. Defender 90XS SW

A bit less agressive than a flap disk would be a paint removal disk. somethign like this:
