Definitely no air option on the UK configurator - also only the puniest engine avaiable.

All the videos I’ve seen of both 90 car and the Hard Top show lettering across the front grille stating “prototype vehicle” and I’ve since heard that even the spec levels aren’t yet decided. I was under the impression that air springs would be an optional extra on 90 models.

Nope. NOT on Commercial 90 [in UK]

is it right that the 200 engine, 250 and 300 (in the 110) are the same engine, they seem to be

does there 250 and 300 have larger intercooler or turbo

as if not surely a 200 could be tuned to 250, if not the full 300

shame as I wanted a petrol commercial really

also anyone noticed you can't order leather seats on a 90 - hell what do you expect for £50,000. !!!

had premium leather seats on my 2015 XS 90

In order to save money, I believe the engines will be the 200Tdi and the 300Tdi....

The 200 and 250 are the same, not sure about the 300.

The commercials that are being shown are pre production cars so they will probably be 20MY converted station wagon mules.

And yes no air suspension on the 90.

From an environmental point of view the emissions on my non DPF, non Adblue, no cat TDi300 90 are lower by quite a margin than my new 110 with all the Euro strangulation equipment fitted....... TDI 300 officially 235g/km, new one 251g/km......... vehicle weights are not that far apart. No idea what the NoX of the TDi is though. Dread to think what a new one puts out if it didn’t have the filtering equipment. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

Looks like one engine with 3 different power options.

CO2 isn’t a pollutant, though - the NOx and PM emissions of the old one will be orders of magnitude worse (for what it’s worth).

Apparently, I have been informed that there will be several variants of the same engine, the 400 version going into the FFRR.

Therefore, 200, 250, 300, 350 & 400.

Hopefully the 200 90 is going to end up being a beast in the right tuners hands! Rolling with laughter

I might have been given some mis-information on the D400, I suspect the guy who told me meant the P400!

Am I correct that the "Blacksmith" 90 hardtop doing the Dealer rounds is left hand drive AND air suspension?

Yet, you cannot order air suspension in the UK.

Also, the Defender 90 S appears to have manual seats [the hardtop 90 has electric] . I hear the drivers seat was jammed forward and broken at the Cheltenham showroom [haha]

This may simply be because these are pre-production builds - but odd anyway.

From my Taunton visit, due to the Hard Top configurator not being released, I managed to find out the following about the 'Blacksmith' 90 Commercial compared to the 90 Commercial production model:

1. Front headlights higher spec than standard
2. Alpine lights and back door glass has been darkened. Standard privacy glass on production model
3. Flooring only a prototype
4. Electric seating will just be 8 way with no memory
5. Standard ICE. So no Meridian
6. It has Air Suspension - Production model 90 will be on Springs. No AIR option.
7. Steering wheel adjustment will be manual only. The pre-production one has electric.
8. Small things like the domestic plug is an EU one. You will get a UK plug if you spec the 'Off Road' pack £1,635.00 Option

That's about it. I think.

It will also only get the 200 straight 6 diesel option. But as they are making the same variant in many engine outputs, this engine is going to be very good for re-mapping . The give away is the fact that all power types have the same CO2.

D200 = 251 g/km
D250 = 251 g/km
D300 = 251 g/km

Not seen what the D350 & D400 (See previous post - suspect the petrol - P400) will be?

I hope they do a D400 Bow down

The D350 is already available in the Range Rover, replacing the SDV8.

Very disappointing that the 90 Hard Top has such limited options, can’t see why there’s a case to restrict it so tightly.

I said the same when I ordered by 90 Commercial.

I was told by the salesman that LR had done their market research.

I provided some feedback. I want the option of; Air suspension, more power and some upgraded ICE.

Other stuff like memory seats would be good.

Same wants. They’re all built to order, so I’m not sure why the 110 gets more choice.

It may be that they're being built down to a weight, to allow them to be classified as dual purpose vehicles. Otherwise, they'll be limited to commercial vehicle speed limits. Darren
