Congreaulation on the install 
The +/- X dB sliders are there to help with both personal preferance, but also the location of the speakers realative to the primary listener. Just use a piece of music you know well, and tweak the sliders till you think it's best.  Click image to enlarge Where do the wires come through the floor under the center dash ? Is there an access point there which I don't have to drill ? ( I'm not drilling holes in the floor). Do you thread it through from above the gearbox? |

I'm a bit stuck and confused
Today I wired in the power supply for the Focus 2:1 subwoofer I measure with my voltmeter 12v across the GND / +12V terminals on the back So I have power going in
But I do not have any lights on the front. I was expecting to press a button and the light come on. The manual isn't really clear Do I need to wire up the REM connection to turn the power on ? I hope that someone can help  |

Yes, the sub will not turn on until it has remote power from the Head unit

You can just bridge from the pos to rem for a test.

If your going to "test" the amplifier remote by bridging the power/remote : Please use a piece of wire with a 500mA fuse in it, since I've seen expensive Amps damaged by unfused bridging.

Zee, do you have a drawing for how an Isub 2.1 would fit into this? I’m also fitting the mud JVC double din which has RCA. I’m just confused about using RCA and do I feed the crossovers from the HU or amp? '09 Puma 110 CSW XS |

Hi yorkshirelandy
There are 2 options, the top one uses the built in amp in the headunit (HU), and is a quick way to fit the iBUS to the system, you will keep the ability to tweak the bass from the HU the lower option should provide better sound quality but you may lose the sub control from the HU and have to use the remote on the Focal iBUS 2.1, while fitting consider upgrading the cables from the iBUS to the crossover, and from there to the speakers - no point haveing great sound out of the iBUS, then shoving down c%^p quality cable to great speakers - think the weakest point in the system, speaker upgrade, HU upgrade, addition of a sub, soundproofing, cabling upgrade - all form parts of a jigsaw to better sound

I'm back!
Now purchased the Focal IBUS 2.1, but I have a MUD cubby box secure locker so mounting under the cubby is not my preferred option. I have seen others mount below the rear seats (I have a 110 Utility), but there does not seem to be enough room. Is this as simple as making a platform to mount the sub, so it does not overhang? I have fitted one Rockford fosgate amp and a 8" punch speaker.
The Amp powers all the speakers and sub although I do have another amp for just the sub when I have time to fit. Sounds great with the K2's upfront and rockfords in back

A long delay to progress, as I am building a worksop in parallel! I have wired in the ibus 2.1 initially as your option 1 (using RCA). I will use for a while then no doubt move to option 2....
For option 2, where you mention taking the time to replace the speaker cable, do you just use the connector that came with the sub for the Fr R and Fr L outputs from the sub? Many thanks!

Hi newton-tony,
When I referred to upgrading/replacing the speaker cable, i was looking at the cable from the front speaker through to the 2 channel output from the Focal iSub. The iSub has both a speaker input (high level) for H/Us that don't have RCA connections, and RCA (Low Level) input for H/Us that do have RCA output. But next to the high level input (in a common connector) is the high level amplified output for FrL and FrR speaker. Money has been spent on H/U, iSub, possibly sound proofing, but the cable that JLR have used to get the power/signal to the speaker is the cheapest they could get away with! Now your putting better quality and more power down those lines by using an iSub, best replace the wires/cable with something better allowing the system to “sing” to get optimum quality. And whilst this may not be an easy job, since those cables may be folded into a loom, or cable bundle (so picking up interference and noise as well) giving the speakers their own cable route should improve the sound quality. If your still stuck, and I can see your in Wiltshire, and any where near Boscombe Airfield, then we can do a socially distanced meet up and I can explain better.
