Many thanks to Roy5695.
Just back from a great day doing upgrades with Roy5965 Bow down Bow down Bow down

Today’s mods were replacement of the standard HD rear springs and front springs, new Fox dampers, upgraded anti roll bar on the rear and replacement of the black speedo dials, heater dials and clock face with cream coloured ones.

A busy day, the suspension and roll bar was easier to do than the cream dials (wouldn’t you agree Roy Rolling with laughter )
The handling is so very different much nicer ride, more responsive, very impressed with the kit from Alive tuning.

Before we started the rear stood at 1815 mm and the front at 1795 mm, after the mod the rear stands at 1765 mm and the front 1760 mm. So the back is lowered by 50 mm on a -1” (25mm) Alive spring because the HD springs sit 25mm higher than standards. The front is down by 35 mm. Very happy with the new stance.

Pictures of the dials. Roy I’m sure you will appreciate the 1st dials pic Rolling with laughter

The new look cream dials take a bit of getting use too but a well made kit that whilst fiddly to fit do fit nicely.

Thanks again to Roy5695 Bow down a total perfectionist whose attention to detail is second to none. Thankyou. 2015 HT XS 90

Great stuff and props to Roy. It must be a huge improvement on the twisty bits. Even better when you get the turbo..

Looks from the photos to sit really nicely! Cool But tyres look very close to spats, like they might rub with minimal articulation? Or is it just the angle of the photo? James

Hi James
It’s a bit of an optical illusion, I just put the defender in the same place on the drive I took a picture back in November when I cleaned it.

Whilst the wheels are closer to the spats I had 100kgs bouncing on the towball (thanks Roy) and we are happy it should be ok Thumbs Up

Roy and Sulisuli, can I be your manager? There's a serious Bromance going on here that I'm sure I can sell to Hollywood. If not Hollywood, then BBC2. Make sure you tell us when you have your first tiff, just so we all know that the romance is following the script.

Riggs and Murtaugh
Body and Doyle
Starsky and Hutch
Tango and Cash
Cagny and Lacey

You're in some illustrious company gentlemen Whistle Rolling with laughter Monsieur Le Grenadier

I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list.....
