Yesterday as we drive down the A15 towards Europoort our 130 passed 100,000 miles.

It is just over 9 years old.

so far as I'm aware the only way a defender will reach 100k miles with not may bills is on the back of a trailer Rolling with laughter

congrats. 100k is without a doubt a mile stone, even if the motor does feel likes it's run in and going a treat Thumbs Up

It’s been dealer serviced (Hillendale, now Farnel Nelson) every year.

Two new EGRVs under the warranty

New front half shafts

Twice changed rear half shafts

RH swivel changed

Brake pads and front discs

On 4th set of tyres (brand new ones on at moment so each set have each done 33k)

Since it is worked hard as my works vehicle as well carrying our demountable camper on holidays and towing a trailer I think it has done well.

2 egrs !

I'm still on the original at 101k miles. Thumbs Up

in other areas I've probably replaced quite a bit more than yourself. Whistle
but the engine is running a dream at the moment and I hope it continues to do so.

Thumbs Up

welcome to the 100k club Mr. Green

I sincerely hope not!!.

I'd happily swap a couple of egr for the number of adapter shafts and clutches I've had.

WHAT THE HELL ! ??

surely you've had to replace the adapter shaft or the clutch or do you mean you've not had cos you've had replace the whole lot and not just bits?

if not I'd love to know what the secret is.....

are you sure it's not a Td5?

I’ve never had to replace a clutch or gearbox on any vehicle I’ve owned and I take most well past 100k. I’ve always been firm but fair with my left leg.

If you’ve ever driven on A15 into Europoort in rush hour you would know that 50mph is an achievement. 130 Puma HCPU with an Artica 240LR Demountable Camper
