Todays job was to be change the coolant - empty and refill but......
Sump had a damp spot on pressing it with a screw driver it went thro and oil came out ![]() So replaced the sump today took me 3 hrs, and luckily the oil was due for replacing this month anyway Back to coolant, which will now be tomorrows job....... Where do I drain the coolant from, I note the manual states pull off hoses from fuel cooler but i do not have a fuel cooler which is there on the 2.4 puma and some early 2.2 puma advise would be appreciated Ta Ian Last edited by Iktank on 14th Jun 2019 8:26am. Lucky escape. Dinitrol it. You can use the thermostat hose as a drain point. It’s quite deep up in there and the clip can be stiff. Work the clip off and keep the hose on. Use proper PPE especially eye protection and when your ready take off the hose to drain with suitable container ready to go. You really need the WSM as this contains the draining and bleeding procedure on it. _\Hennessey|Venom| F5/___

What?! This is a fairly shocking performance, even on a Land Rover. 5year old sump, as good as rotted through? What the hell were they making them from? Let’s not forget the inside is quite adequately rust proofed due to its total immersion in oil, so any rust is just from the front where the smooth flat surface shouldn’t exactly promote rusting.??! 2014 Keswick Utility 2.2
