Been a pain in the arse of a week for me, we are trying to push my dads defender through an mot, and with the weather, its taking its time.
So my bump stops are on hold at the moment, if only we can get a break in the weather we can at least move on.
fingers crossed i can get this sorted and in for its MOT and a re test for my dads, but he has strung his out, and was playing houses, before i stepped in. All he needed to do was fit a rear brake caliper, stupid sod never checked the boxes and tried to fit the wrong part, and then struggle like hell to fit the right part, All he had to do was move the rear disc guard. 2 hours he wasted for the sake of a 2 min job! Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

That's if we can sort this other problem we have, with my dads. One side seems to be binding like hell, my dad was fannying about quite a lot before i came out, for the sake of bolting another caliper on. So i am suspecting he might have damaged something Rolling Eyes As he doesn't think and he is murder if you leave him a lone, on jobs. Shocked
My mam has said that she may get shot of the defender in another couple of years time, as he is starting to cause more problems, than enough. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Well, in that case Procta, another one for your fleet in the future?

Tell your parents the price of Defenders have hit rock bottom and you will give £150 cash which is probably more than it is worth but you are just trying to do your bit as a loving Son Laughing

The thought has crossed my mind, Thumbs Up If my dad ever did have to sell it, i would restore it, as it is a genuine one, only difference is they put the windows in the sides.

I have made a start with mine, Fitted the bump stops and my dad made two plates for the rear, i would have made 4 smaller plates, easier and quicker. But i thought as long as it keeps him happy and it sorts the holes out. Got to weld those on and give them a bit of rust treatment Thumbs Up Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

i tell you what lads, for what it was, it could have been all crammed in an hour at the most. Rolling Eyes i would have been demented if i had to sit through it for 5 hours.
I was practically on the verge of cracking up for how long i had to sit through it, one woman get rattling on too, So others were getting sick as i was. The lecture started to get very sick of her as she was starting to slip behind time, so the last part of it was practically rushed off.
All about the highway code really. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back
