Wipers have stopped at half way
The wipers have stopped half way up the screen, I can hear what I think is a relay clicking once when they are switched on and when switched to intermittent I think I can hear a relay clicking every few seconds. I can't hear the wiper motor running. The washers also work when the button is pressed. Can I assume that means the switch is OK, the fuse appears to be OK. Would i be able to hear the wiper motor running if it's the cable drive? Does this point to a motor fault ? It's a 2008 90 that's done 100k kms. Thanx

It could be the park switch.
But first lube the spindles and give the arms a little push whilst switched on Diesel$ Live$ Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️ RED, WHITE & BOOST! 🇬🇧

Probably the spindles as said above, if you're lucky you might be able to oil them to get them working. If not get ready for cursing. Confused

Thumbs Up Thumbs Up
Use a bit of s longer lasting oil in there too shortly, as the WD40 will dry up but is good for freeing them up. Diesel$ Live$ Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️ RED, WHITE & BOOST! 🇬🇧

I had the same issue and the relief was great when good ol WD40 solved it ... BUT, I continued to repeat the process of running the wipers (pulled away from screen) and squirting liberally for a few minutes on the splines for at least 4 days to make sure the oil got down good and deep and did it s job. Each time some rusty residue came out of the splines.

Besides, i love the smell of WD40 Very Happy
