Some steering lock stop adjustment. No rubbing and you can’t use chains with 255 but to the vast majority of people that isn't problem. The very very small change in gearing is better I find. Diesels Lives Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️

Credit goes to Blackwolf on here as he advised me first and I agree once I had the same that the 255’s are very good in that size. Thumbs Up Diesels Lives Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️

The only slight thing that’s puts me off them is the sidewall bulge with them on 6.5” wolfs.

Thanks, that’s some size difference. Is that against a 235/85/16 ?
Any rubbing in the arches? Steering stops need adjusting? Loss of power with a 300tdi?
Sorry for all the questions but having to buy 5 is a big cost and I don’t want to get it wrong!!

In point form answers are :

1. That is comparing a 265/75 to a 255/85. A 265/75/16 is the same diameter as a 235/85 - the image therefore shows the difference between the overall diameter of the two and is representative of a 235.

2. No rubbing in the arches at all.

3. Slight rubbing on radius arms, either live with it or adjust the stops.

4. No loss in power - however I have the lower ratio 1.6 transfer box and not the 1.4 or 1.2. She zips through the gears and will leave quite a few drivers surprised and will also pull from 25/30 mph in 5th with no labouring

5. She tops out at an indicated 85 on the speedo, but the acceleration for a Land Rover is astonishing due to the high output of the 300 and the lower ratio transfer box

7. The sidewall bulge is fine on the 6.5 Wolf Rims and fall well within the recommended rim size for a 255 2017 Range Rover L405 Vogue SE V8 Diesel #16

I’m still on KM2’s and will be for a long time and very happy with those. In future it will be KM3’s though.
Up until recently I was not holding my breath on ever seeing a 255/85 KM3.
Perhaps the enquiries that I and probably many others have made over a period of time did indeed bear fruit. Diesels Lives Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️
