I would start by changing the batteries on the fobs and making sure they're synced to the vehicle by repeatedly pressing lock and unlock 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

I have put a pair of what I though were new batteries in my fobs. Turned out they were out of date and flatter than the ones they replaced. It's worth checking the date on the packet 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

If you have the same symptoms as above phone CSK as he is the only person I know of who has fixed this problem and it's not the fobs.I would go in to detail but I'm no mechanic and don't really know the why's or how's. |

I've spoken to Chris at CSK. Symptoms I have are the same as Chris has with a Defender he has just sorted. It's a known fault with the immobiliser control module which is situated within the dash cluster. Land Rover are aware of the fault and originally issued a service bulletin to dealers but no recall. Repair is only possible by replacing the control module and associated wiring. According to Chris, who has just done it successfully, it's not a nice job! I'll keep you posted on progress.

I wonder if you can change the dash cluster from another to test this
