Hello there , nothing broke Thumbs Up I drove like miss daisy as I had only just fixed it ....... again . Now after every lake crossing , once home i’d take out the wading plugs from the bell housing , and not once have I ever had water come , well , today I put my finger in hole , and guess what , there was a crusty layer in there , and once poked thru , low n behold , water appeared , i’d say a mug full , seemed clean to , I got one of those endoscope cameras at work , i’ll have a look n see what I can see , see if she’s rusty in there or not . The clutch has always been ok but it’s worth a look

I had a look fella and all appeared ok Thumbs Up

Other news , ittttttsssssss pit time , one week to go . So this weekend she’s coming out for a spin and to make sure she’s ready , can’t believe it’s been 7 weeks . After all the rain and floods , there should be a ton of mud at pit , yeeee harrrrrr

Gonna try also to get more flex on the front , standard springs all round , rear has plus 2 shocks n relocators . I’ll do the same at the front ? I’ll assume she’ll drop more when I go into the silly ruts

That looks the part! Are you going to tune her more? If I had a one like this I would be tuning it with an inch into its life, full tricky diffs the works. Very Happy Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

hello procta , hope all is well and you are enjoying your new defender ?

this one has a stage 2+ storm tune , full serck intercooler , 3" intake , single box exhaust , i did have a boost box fitted but ended up warping the manifold , she great up to 60 but i tend to plod around at 45-50 , if not the egt start to rise very fast indeed , regarding the exhaust , a short pipe with no silencer is best for quick spool up of the turbo and slow off road , fitted the box for mot time , so the turbo now spools up a bit higher in the revs , not sure if i can get anymore out of it , without making it unreliable , maybe i need to see how peoples get the egt lower

ps , it goes a lot quicker with normal tyres on , cos the special tracks have so much drag i don`t hardly have to use the brakes Very Happy

yeah I have really gelled with this one, got a few ideas to roll out, but I think we may have to see about after xmas now, I am starting to look after the ££ the mot is due in December so who knows if this one will sale through.

Are you not looking at building another engine up with upgraded pistons and a nice reworked head? Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

hello procta , glad you`re enjoying the new one , lets hope father christmas brings you lots of goodies and an mot too , this one won`t be having anything extra thrown at it , she only does a few hundred mile a year , so not cost effective . and this costs enough as it is Thumbs Up

What a weekend , yesterday sliding around the stubble fields and this morning at the pit . The puddle is so much deeper now , but she still crossed no problem at all . It’s taken an hour to clean and I ache like hell , it was brilliant , was a toy
