Last summer I buried an axe in my leg whilst on a camping trip, just one of those things you do. I had it seen to at Wrexham Hospital as in they blobbed a bit of supaglue and some steristrips. This open wound was 5" long and a good 2" deep just missing the shin bone inbetween my ankle and knee so whilst there is not a lot of skin there but it did need holding together. After two days I popped into a walk-in centre at Ruthin, then again more glue and steristrips, these had given way before I walked out of the door.
When I got back to Hereford I phoned my doctors and explained about the open hole in my leg and was told I couldn't even get a nurse appointment for 5 days! I went to our local Walk-in centre and was immeadiatly put on the bed and stiched up, over a week from doing it! I eventually got a nurse from my registered doctors to see me 3 weeks later.
It really makes you contemplate self doctoring esoecially when out and about!

You forgot the bit about the ambulance driver not being able to take you to hospital 'cos his co-driver was at the Olympics. Rolling Eyes

Shocked

It's all happening at Bala. JWL's doing a repeat performance this year.
We've already booked the ambulance.

Reminds me of the time I was in hospital, on the trolley, in my gown, being brought to the operating theatre. A doctor travelling beside me was reading my notes and said
"You are back in with your knee, I see" (I'd been in with a damaged knee about ten years before this).
I was actually in for an "internal" examination! Did'nt exactly inspire me with confidence Rolling with laughter 1982 88" 2.25 diesel
