Don't flog or do anything until the dust has settled.

You never know what might pop up next.

I know its only a car, but I feel so bad for you.

Have fun hunting the next one down.

Gutted for you mate, can’t see why they would torch it, can only assume they knew their prints were on there, stripping axles etc is a lot of work so it’s a bunch of Censored nts that know how to spanner, not good news. 90 wolf - Jasmin http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39408.html

So sorry to hear your awful news.

I've been reading the posts, hoping it would be found, but not like that.

Hope you are back up and running with a td5 soon and able to put all this sh*t behind you.

Looking at the photos, they just cut the anti roll bars and panrods and dampers. Then burnt the rest, Not sure if they even took the bonnet too. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

That’s a lot of noise and effort for the axles Question

Constantly trawling eBay so will keep eyes out for pairs of axles, not the easiest bits to identify unfortunately. 90 wolf - Jasmin http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39408.html

Mate, Hello from Aussie.
VERY bad news, I feel for you, because you are a meaningful contributor to the Forum, as was your Defender.
I haven't read whether you had insurance or not, but if it's in your mind to get another Defender, I'm sure you'll make sure it's a good one.
Pickles.

Hi Pickles, yeah it was insured fully comp, Thanks for that, I had a lot more on the cards for too, For people to have a read.
I was going to kit the rear end out and making more like a CSW etc. I even had the wiring in for the rear speakers too installed Sad
My mate is guttard too with the amount of help he did with welding etc, We had plans on going back at the rear brackets.
The next one is going to be a good one, but we cannot move on with this story until the insurance and police get the arses together, on who is going to salvage the remains of my poor sweet heart. I have to fill in the forms and get all the paper work for her sorted out ( which is practically sorted near enough) then its a case of me taking stock on what spares i have to go out. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

yeah it is, the area is well away from housing sadly. So no one would even have heard anything or even seen anything.
