looks like our grafty doesn't get white walled

mk1collector, they are sawtooths in sliver, I did toy with the idea of going black, but my dad said it would show every stone chip up sadly. Also I think they look smart too and are different to everyone else, as I think a few people on here have them black or a gun metal grey. The sliver looks good, with my defenders colour too. Going to get some posh centre caps when I buy the nuts. So that I can add that extra bling. Just a case of getting the money back up now. Thumbs Up

I went for 16s due price and ease, I don't know why the hell the previous owner or dealer, put on the most cheapest tyres and wheels. Its beyond me that one, would have been better to have stayed with the standard steelies. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

well looks like what ever went wrong with either the system or the photo hosting site, has sorted its self. Anyway moving on.
Last week i made a start on fitting some of the parts that i have had instorage for months,
I decided to fit the front anti roll bar, just to get things moving forwards Thumbs Up
So after i bit of research, and a sort out. So i could find out what is what.
I proceeded to to install the front bar, my phone decided to be a pain, and it started to again to day Rolling Eyes

Anyway,
Here is the front bits laid out ready, and prepped for installation. I bought poly bushes to go with the anti roll bars.

Will edit for photo installed in place

spare wheel carrier, My pal came round to re weld the door and to give me a helping hand,
My dad had other jobs on, so wasnt able to help. Wasnt happy about me getting a pal in volved as normal Rolling Eyes But thats how it is.

My rear end before hand,

we had to work quickly at this point due to the tempture dropping and the light phasing out.
So off the wheel and the door stripped

old unit in ready to be removed, ( looks like a Series unit?)

door re welded, but the door is finshed really. I will need to replace it.

Today i took photos of the finshed job, as we did run out of light and the temperture was making us stiff.

massive improvement on how the door operates, Thumbs Up
We had to filter through bolts to see what was what, it extra odds and sods for some reason. but nothing a trip to a DIY shop couldnt sort out.
I binned off the grab handles, as one was damaged and the other i couldnt use due to how this is mounted.
I will give the rear end a stone chip and a paint, plus its a start on moving forwards for my rear NAS bumper i want.
I have the alloy wheel spacer kit to go on too, so that will be another item to go on. Unless my dad decided to bum that off me for his rear end. Smile
Next up on the list, could be sorting out what the story is with the rear wiper, or brakes. I am going to wait a little until the brakes are sorted, before i get a set of tyres. As i am not going to risk damaging the new wheels. My dad is very hand fisted at times, and chipped my 306 alloys after they were painted. Evil or Very Mad So they will be installed at a later date. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Cheers boys, Yeah I think it will look miles better when I get the new wheel setup on, also I will be getting the rear anti roll bar brackets welded on some point next year too, so that will make the defender more stable.
With in the xmas period, the defender has really moved forwards, with those four jobs I did. Just waiting now on getting the fund back up and we can push forwards further Thumbs Up Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

WOW.. I am away for a couple of weeks and you have done loads of stuff to your landy.. it looks great.. Thumbs Up Anti roll bars make a great improvement to road manners Cool

Did you find fitting the wheel carrier pretty straight forward? Mine has started sort of creaking a bit like its not level and the door is stiff.. Shocked 1993 200Tdi Defender 90
