I can't really remember what the 285s were like when they were new, but the 265s certainly feel much nicer than the worn 285s Thumbs Up

Finally got around to finishing off the Provent install. It's been mounted for a couple of weeks but I hadn't got to the plumbing. I was, originally, going to plumb it all in new silicon pipe but decided that if I were ever to have a problem at the road side that required me to return it to standard (highly unlikely) then I could. For this reason I extended the original pipe from the rocker cover so it could be reconnected directly to the original PCV valve. In the future I may well re do the job with a single pipe from rocker to Provent Thumbs Up

So far after around 100 miles of driving the reservoir (a Lidl orange juice bottle with a barbed hose connector in its lid Rolling with laughter) has remained empty. I don't really know what to expect so I'll just check regularly to get a feel for what's "normal".

Empty is good. Means youre engine is a very light breather and you dont need the Provent. Instagram @defender_ventures

Do have a good google about them though. They can cause issues with the crankcase breathing as the Provent has its own DCV and then the OE DCV thry can work against each other. Instagram @defender_ventures

Have you put many miles on the Conti’s yet? How are you finding them? I’m thinking of changing from my BFG AT’s as they are woeful when on wet tarmac. 1989 90 4.3 V8

Probably put about 1000 miles on them now, unfortunately all in the dry! It hasn't rained here since I fitted them Laughing

They're excellent in the dry but still can't comment on offroad and wet tarmac performance. I'll update as soon as I have feedback Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Finally been out in the wet. New tyres are really good, much better through standing water and grip very well. I wasn't in the 90 on my own so couldn't test them at the limit but making progress down a wet, twisty road is very stable and I would also say having got a few mile under its belt the 90 feels much easier to place on the road with the new tyes, wet or dry. So far so good - nothing negative to say yet Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon
