2008 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Java Black
2.4 Turbo Problems
I'm on my second turbo and it's blown again! It's making a whistling/screeching noise whilst accelerating. It's a 2.4 with alisport intercooler, silicone hoses (checked), K&N air filter, with EGR removed and speedo derestricted.

I'm not sure if its the gasket, the manifolds or the turbo, and I'm not sure that any of the previous independant mechanics I took it too new either, but it was okay for about 6 months after the last one...then yesterday it blew again, which makes me think it might be due to the hot weather.

My real question is where would you take it to get it fixed properly? Alive Tuning, BAS or my local Land Rover? Any other recommendations greatly received

must be a underlying issue for it to go boom...

call alive up tomorrow they sorted my poorly turbo issues..

I'd say as above and probably electronic.
I'd recommend Alive too, Gary really does know his turbo's!
You definitely shouldn't be having any issue at all as quick as that.

EGT to high, overfuelling (any signs of excessive black smoke) or a turbo oil feed issue. If it was the gasket or manifold you would hear a chuffing from the exhaust gases escaping and you would smell the exhaust fumes in the cab. Cure for that is either fit a copper gasket or the better solution is to get the manifold seat and turbo face skimmed.
