Leavening the EU what do you as members of this forum who do not reside in the UK think.
I am sure I am not on my own who as a member of this forum welcome the viewpoints and the accounts of those who live in other European countries and their Land Rovers and other experiences, all of whom who must be aware of our referendum. I would welcome the ideas of these members (who are too numerous to mention by name) and what they think of what may happen should we vote to leave the European Union. And equally how we would be regarded if we vote to remain. I ask this question because as a UK citizen like many others I remain undecided. Though my heart is saying leave. Would that decision make you as a member of another European country think bad of the UK for opting out of a collective that embraces all of Europe, who it seems to UK people has too much power because of the way it controls the lives of an Uk ordinary citizen or maybe because of the way our present UK government has handled the referendum with so much miss information. Any input would be most welcome on how for my family and especially my children I should vote and what affect it would have on them. And what the rest of Europe would think of the decision of staying or leaving on the 23rd June. Thank you For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at.. http://www.youtube.com/user/conwy1 |

I am a UK citizen of mixed European background. My father is Swiss, my mother is Portuguese/Norwegian. ...I was born in London. All I can say is that my relatives who are strewn over Europe; France, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Norway, Portugal, can't believe that we are even considering leaving the EU. They feel that this union of unlikely bedfellows is the single thing that keeps us talking and has ensured peace in Europe for 70 years. This idealogical union is too precious to squander with petty squabbling over a nonsensical outdated sense of sovereignty that no longer exists in a global economy. 1999 Td5 110 CSW

Europe is and always has been a cage for the UK . at various times in history we have dominated Europe and beyond, the rest of the world is not unaware of this and when in the post second war an opportunity presented it self to shackle us it was taken. Of course no one outside the UK wants us to leave because they know what we can achieve on our own. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

I know someone that works in a Doctor's Surgery.....When carrying out an audit of patients on repeat prescriptions it was astounding how many of these people no longer resided at their registered address and had returned to their own country of origin. The prescriptions were being collected and sent to the patients. The Surgery will not blow the whistle as it will lose a considerable amount of money.
It is akin to having a bag of sweets and handing them out. Everyone wants one but what happens when the sweets and the money to buy them run out? We are also faced with an imminent Brussels £1.7billion tax bill to help prop up struggling European Nations. I am 54 years of age and have never voted in my life politically. I took the Queen's Shilling at 17 and spent 32 years in the military, to me voting wasn't really important as it didn't matter who got in......the only thing missing from their mandate were the masks and muskets and the words "Stand and Deliver!" I will be voting this month! I too have relatives all over Europe my mother having been German. They have their own views and one of the strongest being that if possible the Berlin Wall would be rebuilt tomorrow. The French, German and Italian voting populous are watching us with keen interest as they too are beginning to want their own in/out referendums. We are not alone and it could potentially bring down the EU totally IMHO. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! I tend to agree, it seems that as the european countries start loosing more of their control to Brussels then the more right wing politics and politicians start gaining ground and we all know what this can lead to.

As a French resident, its not nice to feel your birth country try to leave but nobody is that concerned about it locally. Makes my life potentially more difficult because most of my clients are Brits

Here's something to be going on with:
![]() In a vote right now, they said they would vote to stay, but I do think it gives a very rough idea of the feeling in other countries. If anything, I think it puts pay to the idea that if we leave the countries are all likely to come together more closely to block us out, and perhaps suggests they are more likely to follow in our wake. What also must it say about the so-called lack of influence that is claimed if we leave? ![]() Discovery 3 TDV6 Auto HSE Zambezi Silver ![]() |

![]() careful - that could be construed as racist - unless they're all from western Europe and don't travel on a regular basis. Or is it simply fact? Either way seems like you and I will be voting the same way.....and just perhaps people will wake up to the fact that others are well and truly taking the P. I'll be voting accordingly. |

Wake up Caterham and stick the racist card away, the implication that it may be racist is offensive in itself. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

I'm not suggesting you or comment is racist but as soon as you mention people not residing in this country others might jump in and suggest you are.
I'm not fussed only to say if you're not in this country why should we be paying for the prescriptions? I'm guessing if they don't reside here i'm guessing they won't be paying into the state? I'm just keeping about Mr Clarkson comments about gypos or tinkers or whatever the word was he used and ended up getting shot down etc? If that's true I best go off and check what racist actually means....i guess it must be more culture which makes me think referring to Christians and catholics etc would be racist? I don't know. Me thinks the world has gone bonkers? |

Hopefully it'll not matter a single jot if we head the right way. We'll know soon enough! If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

![]() and in the meantime enjoy the sunshine and the HD. ....going off at a slight tangent here.......different professions striking - shouldn't they go off and get a new job if they ain't happy? and what's wrong with the government helping out businesses ie the steel - they're not allowed to because of the EU. Surely it makes more sense to subsidise then have a load more on the dole? |
