2013 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 SW Zambezi Silver
Hi, I was trying to say either get the rotor replaced or machined.

if you want to machine your rotor with sandpapers, the target will be (from workshop manual):
maximal runout is 0.15mm

cheers

I think I'll swap over the calipers and re-assess.

I've just never noticed such a mirror like finish before. Thumbs Up

The friction matierial is the pad not the disc. If the disc was like sandpaper your pads would not last long at all.
You have good discs and if you want to dull them just spray them with brick cleaner or alloy wheel acid based spray.
I would fit new pads which will give you all the braking you will ever need.
PS i think you have seen too many new Audis with the machining marks? 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..
