Hi Guys
Hooked the caravan onto the back of the 110 today (2009 utility) and after a long pull up an incline on a dual carrigeway. got a MIL on the dashboard. Have a scanguage 2 which produced the fault code P 1103 - which was fine. However, the scanguage will not let me reset/clear the code which is strange. Any ideas? ![]() Truck was just serviced last week, so everything is as it should be (i hope....) ![]() Wouldn't normally be bothered, but I'm pulling the van from Aberdeen down to Silverstone after work today, and would prefer not to do the trip on the back of a RAC recovery truck if at all possible! ![]() Thanks in anticipation.......[/b] |

Have a look here:
http://www.defender2.net/forum/post69553.html Might be worth picking up a spare MAF en route for peace of mind |

I just cleaned my MAF sensor (done it every 25,000 km) - massive improvement. You must use proper MAF cleaner though (not carb or MAP etc.) or you can strip the coating. See
http://www.mafcleaning.co.uk/ Worth a try before binning it perhaps? Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

P1103 is a 'nuisance code' that will invariably reset after a few driving cycles. If it persists then look at a MAF but at your stage I wouldn't be overly concerned. Numerous threads about it if you do a search under 'P1103.'

I get this code P1103 when cruising on motorways perhaps with high acceleration. I have closed my egr mechanically ie. Closed inlet and outlet of egr. Don't know something to do with it. When this occur, I simply use the scanguage. I always clear the code when dash lights illuminated at ignition but with engine shut downed. I noticed when engine is on the scanguage does not response to clear p1103.
