United Kingdom 2009 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 CSW Alpine White
ScanGauge2 no response
Hi
I've just disconnected the EGR as the chucking noise is getting worrying. The vehicle is a 2009 CSW and had done approx 37,000 miles. I'm planning to remove the erg to give it a clean. I have looked at lots of threads and was considering changing the fuel, but I would have to drive well out of my way to fill up with shell or bp ultimate.
However, I was under the impression that once the engine warning light comes on I would be able to distinguish it using my scangauge2. But, I get two fault codes, P1402 and p1409. I press the clear button, get a waiting message followed by no response. Has anybody else had this?

I know the gauge is working as it displays rpm etc correctly.

I found that in order to clear codes I had to turn the engine off then return the key to the ignition on position then press the clear fault code button and it worked for me. 2007 (57) Defender 90 (Sold)
Looking for another to replace it.

The road less travelled.... is a muddy one!

Cheers Josh, did exactly what you said and cleared the codes. MIL light extinguished when starting the engine.
