It's a shame that carling switches are made upside down. Up for on and down for off !

It is a shame. Can the rocker part be taken off and turned around? 1999 Defender TD5 110

I think the Mericans are to blame. I'm guessing they are made in the USA?

The ones that ARB supply with their lockers (which are based on the Carling ones) operate in what we would say is the "normal" way, ie. press down for on.

Standard Carling switches operate up for on, which is strange. Can always turn them upside down, though then the label is at the bottom.

The label at the bottom isn't an issue for me. 1999 Defender TD5 110

I didn't know that. I might order a replacement set from you for my console.

All the rockers / actuators we do are genuine Carling rockers with Legends on from the factory rather than the transfers you rub off a sheet. Here is a sample below

You can keep your rockers / actuators and just order the switches - all the suppliers such as MUD, X-ENG etc order the standard range of switches from Carling which is the US spec so exactly the same switch in terms of features function and spec but they can get them off the shelf quickly from a distributor here in the UK but they are up for on.

Here is an article we did a few years back on Carling Switches
