Do you have a link to the outlet? And where did you get the pipe from?
Cheers

Heres all the bits I used. Most of the inspiration was from Graftys thread a while back.

Theres some trimming of the ducts and joiners required, also the airbox intlet needs cut closer to the top, I scribed mine with a vernier calliper at the required hose ID.

Duct ( I got 2 meters of 102mm) to be safe.

https://www.autosiliconehoses.com/silicone...e-red.html

Duct to Silicone joiner (I used the 102mm ID / 50m length).

https://www.autosiliconehoses.com/alloy-ho...-tube.html

Reducer to airbox (I cut the airbox inlet at 90mm up the pipe a bit). I used the 102mm to 90mm pipe.

https://www.autosiliconehoses.com/silicone...e-red.html

Wing to Duct Plate (its the metal wall plate, you have to buy 2 but its only £10)

And the Louvers incase anyone wants them are from Paddocks, they do the wing tops as well. I sprayed mine black with VHT caliper paint as its what I had to hand.

At the age of 55 I have today committed a major sin, as a fully paid up member of the caravan hater society, today I towed a work mates caravan from Pembrokeshire to Llanidloes, through some pretty narrow Welsh roads.

Having never towed a caravan before, but pretty experienced towing a large trailer, the stress of towing a mates pride and joy made it quite an experience.

I think I will stick to my demountable camper.

United Kingdom 1999 Defender 110 Td5 SW Caledonian Blue
Finally got around to doing some painting on the 110.
The fuel tank guard was looking particularly scabby.
Started off with removing the rear ARB as that was in need of attention, two bolts needed attacking with the angle grinder.

A good scraping back to remove old under seal, a degrease and a lick of Corroless rust killer to hopefully keep the rust at bay.
I will do a 2nd coat during the week.

Ordered new ARB clamps and bushes as now is a good time.
Decisions on ARB, do I rub back and paint. Get it powder coated ?
Or replace with one in a better condition?

While I was under the car the I found the exhaust hanger had snapped the weld from the exhaust causing a knocking and notice the rear mud flap to wheel arch panel was loose and then found the spare wheel carrier to door bolts also a bit slack, so tweaked them as well! 1999 Defender TD5 110

United Kingdom 2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Sumatra Black
Fitted a new turbo hose which is just two screws but I'm still dead chuffed of myself. In this round of maintenance I've also fitted a new relay (more complicated than I thought), a new clutch switch and a new VCV valve (I know that's a double V but I don't care Smile ). The car is completely different to drive, you don't realise how they degrade when you drive them every day and you just adapt to it. But when they're working they're pretty good and fun to drive. Thumbs Up
