Not in the Defender but in the P38 I popped out at lunchtime to see a man about getting the bodywork tidied up. He is a classic mini man but came highly recommended and will do the body work and get the wheels refurbed in a few weeks time. Almost next door to his unit is a specialist car upholstery chap who will sort the seat base - but not until Nov! He has got some fantastic stuff coming in to his workshop- 912s, Esprit S2, Aston’s, Morris Oxford, another P38. A full retrim takes him 4-6 weeks!! Just up the road from there I popped into CitySigns, and they took a pic and measurements of the rear ‘Bordeaux’ decal and will create, supply and fit for £35. The current one is scratched. A useful lunchtime meeting 3 small companies doing great work on the doorstep Thumbs Up

I find these small specialist companies fascinating, you just need to find them or be recommended.

Purely by accident I discovered the company who make Allisport exhausts is just up the road. James

That's it, both the bodywork and upholstery people were recommendations and one of them in turn recommended CitySigns. The upholstery guy just had his jack russell for company........which made me very envious....all that peace and quiet. Laughing

SuliSuli, any chance you could give me these dimensions? Just wondering/hoping the Optimill quick release boss may make the Startech a little closer to the steering column/indicator stalks? Thank you.

I'm sure I saw a discussion on integrating a IPad into the Dash and I believe Brendan raised an issue where there is a 'rule' about obstructions in the windscreen? From memory, nothing was allowed higher than the steering wheel? Or am I just imagining all this?

The top dimension is 45mm and the lower one from back of steering wheel to front of stalk is 50mm, not sure how that compares to your current setup.

With regard to the size of the sat nav and it’s location I probably could be seen to maybe be in breach of a motoring law Shocked or two Laughing
