Wouldn't work on mine.... My sunroof opening is not long enough for that... Rolling Eyes

More importantly, what think, are those two switches (rear fog light switch and aux light switch with the #2) simply interchangeable? You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

Eric, I just went out and checked on mine and yes they are interchangeable.

I am guessing yours works by turning your lights on and then having to select the front fog light switch, Then when you turn your lights off- they go off and then stay off when you turn the main lights back on untill you press the switch again?

Glyn, no it's different.

The two switches (left for the rear fog, right for the front fogs) look the same but work in a different way.

The switch for the rear fog is a push-push type. You can turn it on together with driving lights or high beam, but not with the parking lights only. If you turn the rear fog light on with the driving lights, and return to parking lights, rear fog goes off, and when turning the driving lights back on, it stays off, you have to again push it to turn the rear fog on with the driving lights or high beam. That is the standard LR set-up. This switch when turning it on, comes fully back to its rest position, only way to tell that the rear fog is on is by the orange light in the switch and on the dash.

The front fogs switch which is optically the same is working differently, a push latch on - push unlatch off type. You can turn it on and the switch will latch on, and the front fogs will then stay on with either parking lights, or with driving lights. However front fogs will turn automatically off when switching from driving lights to high beam, and reverse again. When you turn this switch on it will latch into a 3 mm deeper position. When unlatched it comes back to level position with the other switches.

So I can independently from the rear fog, turn the front fogs on with either parking or driving lights, but not with the high beam. And I can turn on the rear fog only with the driving lights or high beam, or with both the driving lights and the front fogs illuminated simultaneously.

I think that is the correct legal way of wiring them.

And as both the here discussed aux switch with the #2 printed on it (as in dgardel picture), and the switch for my front fogs are of the push latch on - push latch off type, presume they are indeed interchangeable. HOPE SO Exclamation Whistle

Hope I was clear with how I described it. Confused

Your front fog switch sounds IDENTICAL to the switch with the 2 on it other than the actual symbol.

The one with a 2 on it (as I have) has the same function as yours latch on or off..... but I have it for spots so works on main beam apposed to dipped (but that is wiring not switch).

The actual plug behind the one with a 2 on it is identical to the rear fog light plug.

Yes Thumbs Up

Changed the switch fronts when I put the work light on the 110, fiddly but can be done. Biggest problem will be getting the different switch front, not sure you can get them on their own.

As I understand it, the dashboard was taken from one of the others in the fleet and adapted for the Puma Defender but what was the blanked out button originally for?
