Dash is easy! Took me 10 mins to get the heater controls out last night. My trick is to unscrew the two screws, pop the panel out, disconnect the socket ("cigar lightet") only (leave radio in situ) then hang the bottom of the panel on a string from the roof console (rear view mirror would probably work too, but I no longer have one). That way no wiring is disturbed, very little needs disconnecting, and the radio doesn't need resetting.

I'm not sure if this would work with the factory head unit - there may not be enough slack.
