C90. Thank you for your support and advice once again.
I did infact replace a CV only couple of years ago but cannot remember which side, is there a way to tell? I’ll be cleaning out and lubricating tomorrow but cannot find Ashcrofts HD flanges anywhere in stock. Any other reputable suppliers? Keith. |

C90, Hi Iv just been told that actually HD flanges won’t fit on my Puma with standard Boost alloy wheels. I didn’t know this so maybe I’m stuck with basic flanges. |

You can buy from Ashcroft direct here:
https://ashcroft-transmissions.co.uk/produ...e-flanges/ Regards fixings, somewhere like Kay’s Fixings on eBay is ideal, just be sure the bolts are the correct hi tensile grade, and length. I cannot remember the exact length off the top of my head now. I went for black ones with stainless string washers, but it doesn’t matter much the colour.. Hope that might be helpful, they certainly do fit boosts as this is what I have, coupled with 255/85 tyres. _\Hennessey|Venom| F5/___ ___\⭐️Lone|Star|State/___ ____\We|Will|Win/___ ____/🇬🇧🇺🇸\____ _//*⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰*\\_ |

Recommended from previous posts I have this for my back box. However there is another more expensive tin from the same manufacturer. Same black but glass reinforced. Any better than this one?

Corroless do a glass reinforced chassis in one ( corroless QDR ). It dries a semi Matt black, but that Matt is more of a very dark grey in my opinion. You can top with a gloss black RF16 for a rock hard paint job. https://www.thomas-graham.co.uk/paint/corr...s-topcoats Both available in spray cans or tins. |

I wasn't impressed with it at all, its pretty soft. I'm going with Jotum 2pack this time on anything, having it blasted or sanded properly with 80 grit 1st |

![]() Click image to enlarge I wondered if you might be interested in this. I have 4 Sacrificial Anodes attached to my 90. Two on the rear cross member and two on the bulkhead outriggers. They are intended to provide some corrosion protection to boat hulls - but are also fairly effective on vehicles. I've used this approach before. While it's not totally conclusive, both my bulkhead and rear cross member remained largely corrosion free for the 18 years I owned my 110. The anodes meanwhile completely corroded away after about 10 years so I replaced them. They only seem to protect a short distance away from the anode itself (due to electrical resistance). I've added electrical braided straps connecting the bulkhead to the anodes to improve the connection. Will it work this time round? Ask me in a decade! |

Sacrificial zinc anodes only work when immersed in salt water so as to create a galvanic cell between the more noble cathode and the anode. On a GRP boat the anode protects the propeller etc.
They will do absolutely nothing on a Land Rover! |
