Donald thanks for the response. Yes I am using the original switch on the stalk and the original horn wiring.

The clock fits into that space on the left of the other gauges. They do come up on ebay, not sure of he exact size.

As above but on mine as well as the self tappers there is one machined screw that keeps the lower half to the column.

UPDATE Decided to check all connections despite fearing stalk u/s and at the same time tried a live feed to test that the horns were earthed through their fixings as Darren suggested and they are.

Rewired according to suppliers instructions still no joy so refitted old horn (without relay) and it did not work! Tried the horn on a seperate battery dierct and low and behold it works.
