Not a direct reply to the above, but after about a year of creaking that no amount of spray lube or grease gunned in via the installed port would fix I went nuclear and replaced the full pedal box.

Alpine windows, flat glass/flat styling, 'friendly' looking headlight/indicator layout, wolf wheels.
Probably wont have too many fans of this but I quite like the Puma bonnet myself  |

Same fault here a couple of years back, new master cyl didn't change anything (it's a much easier task to do yourself), end result was that I had a faulty slave cylinder.

I've only done the injector thing myself (and do wonder if you got new clamp bolts? .. you didn't mention them).
But have you checked the fuel rail pressure relief valve hasn't blown? |
