Thinking about it, I'm not sure I undid those pipes when I did mine, most of it I left in place or disconnected further up the pipe. |

Yes it is possible to get the friction plate the wrong way round, and I can see how it could be very easily done given the way a new clutch kit comes packaged... |

I had this problem, thought it was the MAF sensor, that was a waste of sixty quid. Car still does it (and always has), but I no longer have a problem with it  |

Pulled it all apart this weekend.
The old release bearing was totally fine, looked pretty much like the new one, span freely, no excessive play or grinding.

Worn front shock absorber bushes, picked up at the MOT. Replaced and rattle gone!
