No, the Chevy C8 used a Chevy straight six 216 engine, The ford F8 used a ford engine.

I had the same problem so I changed the battery, after that I have had no problems. I then put the original battery on my 1944 Morris C8 and it lasts for months without being used or recharged.

| I had the same with my 2013 defender after about 2 1/2 years, the only real solution was to replace the original Land Rover battery with a new one. Since I replaced it, the problem hasn't reoccurred.
