I have asked about the output of the 48 to 12v converter that the car haa nad have been told 12v @ 170amps.
I don't know if this correct, but the guy seemed to know his stuff. |

Is the car you are buying a mild hybrid? They work differently.
If the charge voltage is the same as a 12v battery then you can use a normal DC|DC converter such as the Victron Orion XS.
