When refitting the oil seal is fitted flush with the casing or pushed in till it bottoms out?
I want to know this too, waiting for someone experienced to answer.  |

Put it in diff lock, first gear. Putting the drum back on and pulling the handbrake on might also help.

@Retroanaconda, Any idea how to remove it? I used the diff lock and released the handbrake, but should I also engage 1st gear?
It’s really tight 😓 and I still failed to remove the nut. |

No. Depending on the angle you’re parked at you might lose a bit but you can just top it up if so. No need to drain the transfer box.
