I would have thought with 6 pot calipers you need to displace more fluid so would need a larger master cylinder. What do LOF recommend?
That being said if it was working before, it must be something ...

As said above it is worth checking the prop UJs.
Chock the wheels securely and take it out of gear and handbrake off to take weight off the prop.

On my 110 the loom connections are behind the panel on the offside ( UK )rear of the vehicle by the door.
There is an earth post in there for the rear lights plus other accessories i have.

Never had an access issue from underneath.
Can't remember if I use a short 1/2" extension with a "wobble" end?
Never had to take the handbrake off.

That is likely caused by a poor connection between the fuse and the terminals.
This leads to heat and melted stuff as you have found out.
The terminals can be dropped out the back of the fusebox hol ...

If memory serves correctly you should be able to access the tip of the cam lobe.
Mind you this was a 3.5 and I don’t know if the 3.9 is the same
