I bought it for toddling (it that even an english word?) through town and the surroundings.
I've no idea about your steering but that's a perfect use for the English word "toddling" ... |

Depends how far you want to go.
If you want to keep it fairly original then just remove it and keep it as non power steering. Not sure what should be there but I don't remember there being anything ... |
