Well, just disconnected and tested with a multimeter.
Earth connector, no resistance to earth - Great.
Positive (mine is only the two tab screen) - 13.5v (engine running)

OK, I'll check the resistance and we will see (but only in stripes).
I kind of assume that the connections are good as I get clear stripes, but I will investigate further and revert!

I have the same heated screen as was factory installed, so 11 years old. I only get a strip that works both sides but the glass is fine with no cracks or chips.
