Yes, I had to Google, to find out who he is/ was. Initially thought the name was a made up pi55 take. - or is it?

No, he is a real person (although apparently he used to be Kuhle not Cool). He was roped in by JLR to be involved in the launch of the New Defender, which was, I suspect, the first, last, and only time that most of us have heard of him. At the time there were many people, myself included, who felt that the name "Kenton Cool" was unlikely to be real, but apparently it is.
