Makes me wonder what the benefit / attraction of the 400e is other than around town if charged. Confused

This was why we ordered one over any other engine version... The majority of our day to day driving is shorter journeys around town. But we still do the occasional road trips and longer journeys as well. I don't expect economy to be great on longer journeys - it is still a Defender after all!

Don’t forget you also get a whisper quiet petrol engine with 400bhp, that is the second fastest model to 60 after the v8.

No rattly diesel. No start/stop. No adblue.

And petrol is c.10% cheaper per litre than diesel.

But yes if you are a motorway mile muncher then the diesel is cheaper to run. Cheers, David
Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a P400e 110.

Also depends on the platform. My old Outlander would do 37-40mpg on flat hybrid battery. The BMW some 700kg heavier and nearly 150% more power is circa 32-38mpg on a flat hybrid battery.
