2009 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SW Keswick Green
High cap to Staion Wagon conversion
Hi,

Planning to convert my high capacity 110 to SW 110.

My chassis number confirms it is not the heavy duty version, so does it have the exactly same version coil spring as a genuine 110 Station Wagon?

Does anybody know the functional difference between the self leveling shock (mono shock) and the anti roll bar?

Thanks alot Very Happy

the self leveller levels....the ARBs stop body roll. Quite different.

You can remove the self leveller.

quite a bit of bodywork to change from a HC to a SW...good luck

Yes, I have ordered all bit and pieces like rear tub, doors, roof, interior panels, nut, bolts, mounts, seats, hinges etc.

Could you please tell me anything I have to be concerned when doing the conversion? Because this my first one Crying or Very sad

A friend of mine converted a Stage 1 V8 hi-cap to a station wagon a few years ago, but he did it by swapping the body with a regular Series III sw. That was a pretty mammoth task, so I don't envy you doing it from a kit of parts.

A lot of LR assemblies seem to have been pared down to the minimum since Series III days though, so are you sure that the chassis has all the necessary mounting points for a sw body? Darren
