Not the same as my problem, yours sounds like the brake vac pump.

Mine was not spraying oil around it was leaking from the fuel pressure pump gasket that is next to the vac pump and running down onto the sump pan.
When the vac pump seal goes it sprays oil all over the n/s of the engine bay.

It certainly does! Oil EVERYWHERE!! Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion.

Thanks Bob, That's it, the very same as in the pics, only not quite as bad, yet!
Topped it up this morn, before doing 118 miles, took it handy, didn't really let the revs get above 2.5 thousand, thinking this might keep the pressure down? When I got home checked it and no new oil not a drop?? Have to do 250miles in it tomorrow. Is it the hole part or just or just the gasket/oring to be replaced? Think i might take it to a independent lr guy instead of the stealers this time. 08 Puma 90xs
